Cat In The Window

I took these pictures of Catcher when we lived in Gallup, NM.  At the time we also had another cat and dog that we rescued from animal shelters.  Catcher didn’t live at our house at first.  He lived across the street at my neighbors house.  My neighbor loved our cat so much that she wanted to adopt a cat for her boys.  The cat she adopted started spending more and more time at our house.  I found out later that the boys were terrorizing him.  I was selling Avon at the time and my neighbor was one of my best customers. One day she came to me and asked me if I wanted Catcher.  She said that all of his shots were up to date and that she would trade him for eight shampoos.  Eight shampoos for my Catcher…what a deal! He has been such a wonderful part of our family ever since.

He loved sitting in that window watching the birds. You can’t see it in the picture but there is a bird feeder right behind him with about 5 inches of snow on top of it.

Catcher lives in Arizona now with my kids and grand kids.  He’s such a good kitty…he likes bringing them mice and gophers as presents 🙂

Am I Bored or What?

Having fun with photos

The background picture in the above photo was taken in Tonto Basin, AZ close to Jake’s Corner.

The picture above is a picture of my daughter that was taken while visiting my mom in Florida.

Below is a picture of my grand daughter dancing.

This is a picture that I took recently of our dog and cat playing.  If you didn’t notice there is a space ship in the window.

I love playing around with photos….and thanks for checking them out 🙂

This & That

It is a beautiful day outside today with not a cloud in the sky which is a big change from yesterday. There’s only traces of snow left.  It would be a great day for a walk.

No walks for me today but that is ok, I am leaving for Arizona tomorrow.  I miss my kids, my grand kids, and my friends, and I can’t wait to see them.  I have a lot to do today to get ready for my trip so I am going to have to make this short for now.

Have a great day everyone!

***Update…I just found out that we can’t leave until Friday morning to head to Arizona Sad smile

Good evening everyone…have a good night 🙂

Snow Day Sandia Park

March 8, 2011 Sandia Park, NM

I started snowing last night around 1:00 am and this is what it looked like when we got up this morning.  It was cold out but I just had to go out and take some pictures today.

This is our apple tree

The snow clouds are still hugging the mountains

It is starting to clear up 🙂

It’s still chilly outside but the wind has calmed down so it doesn’t feel as cold.

Happy blogging…and have a good evening everyone 🙂

Wintertime in Sandia Park, NM

This evening I thought that I would share some picture that I took around my house, and share a little bit more about me.

I love snow…at least I do right now, but I am sure that by the time spring is here that I will be ready for it. I moved here from the Arizona desert a place where it never snows. We would get snow on the mountains around us and maybe once in 10 years or so someone would report that they got a few sprinkles. I left Arizona in September when the temps were still in the triple digits and I haven’t forgotten how hot it can get there. The winters here are cold but I can bundle up.

I am not very good at writing, especially when it comes to writing about myself. I love to take pictures so my blog is going to be sort of a picture story book.

Since you are reading this I hope that you will take the time to let me know what you think of my photos. I am going to have free wallpaper to download for personal use as soon as I get organized and get my photo albums together.

Until next time 🙂
